What does 2u2 mean ? 2u2 stands for "to you too". And this site is for you too :)
Sms language or if you prefer sms abbreviations are widely used by mobile owners. It helps to write quickly and in a short way information. So you write more information with less sms. It has been developped by users themselves because they needed a solution to have their sms as short as possible to fit in the limited sms size. Of course young people are fond of sms, giving their parents nightmares :) or even some huge bills :( But sms language, sms abbreviations are useful for everybody who wants to share information via sms or msn or per mail or even on forums. This site can be seen as an sms dictionary with contains hundreds of sms abbreviations, but you will see that a part of them are already familiar for you because sms language takes also profit of former well known abbreviations already used for instance by students or secretaries to make resumes of lessons or meeting contents.
You should be aware that the sms language, also contained in this dictionary, has no strong rules, it means everybody can write words as he wants. For instance the sentence "I want to" could be in sms language I WAN 2 or I WA 2 or I WANT 2. So it needs some mind gymnastic to decode sms language, it s not simply graved in the stone.
